Laboratory Work for Seniors

Lab work is very important for the senior pet as it can show us how they are doing on the inside as well as the outside.  Just like people, animals have special needs and concerns as they age.  Blood and urine testing allows us to detect early system problems.  Armed with that knowledge, we can then advise you as to how best to control and possibly slow down the progression of common geriatric problems.  All of our clinics are now equipped with blood analysis machines for rapid results.

For more in depth testing, we also offer a central lab service.

There are many things you can do to improve your senior pet's quality of life along with annual exams and blood work-ups:

Specialized foods to assist enhanced organ function,

Regular home and/or professional grooming,

Regular home and/or professional dental care (Please ask us for a demonstration on the right way to brush your pets' teeth),

Regular light exercise (even for the arthritic animal).

Please feel free to give us a call if you need more information in any of these regards.
